nice mix machinated! love the production and automation on the vox youve got going on there. Snares a bit boxy for my ears, but thats just preference, the mix also sounds a bit distant?

ive just uploaded my latest version of the mix, ive been working on and off it since it was posted

wud be cool to see what yall think, its a bit loud as i pushed it with the comps and gclip... so theres the odd bit of clipping, (not as bad as death magnetic though!) but ignore that as its a quick 'master'

Hey I posted this on rate my mix but would love to get some more criticism on this, what besides of pumping would you fix in that if you were me? And is it any good? I'm a tinnitus sufferer and want to know if I have some future in audio stuff despite that, been learning to mix since 5-6 months now.

The toms & cymbals/hihat is way back in the mix, other then that and the pumping, theres nothing "wrong" with the mix.
Unless you have a really bad case of tinnitus, im pretty sure that you will be able to learn to make good mixes(I have tinnitus myself.).

Thanks alot, I hope so, I like doing that stuff. About the toms cymbals and hihats yeah i agree, but I was too afraid pulling those too loud(cymbals), and about toms i just forgot about them hah, I'm sometimes clumsy

Sounds good, bar some of the vocals being too low in volume and compressed a bit too hard where the vocalist sounds like he's straining to take an ertha kitt, but yeah good overall man.

think they could be the faderhead samples on the toms, its been a while since i looked at that project actually!

First attempt since my ears cleared out.
Please give me some criticism on this one, I need to get better(Going to record & mix our own band soon, and I can take a hard bashing.).

Wow, listening to it again, I realize how muddy that was!
I will upload a new version tomorrow, its basically done, but I want to get another "rested" listen to it before I decide to upload it!

Hello everybody!
Love this forum and have been following it for a long time although I haven't participated much yet.
So,found this thread the other day and I just had to have my go at it because the song is a killer one.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated too.
As for Notuerns mix, I feel the overheads and especially Hihat are quite loud on that one compared to the rest of the drums. The rhytms are too low as well I think.

Well I saw this thread resurrected a few weeks ago, and made a mental note to revisit the mix, as i got some more experience with drumagog since the first mix i did.
So I did a remix today before i go on christmas holiday.
Its not mastered btw.
