Announcement coming soon?

Oh I'm old enough to remember Love/Hate. I had the displeasure of seeing them open and get repeatedly booed (that was the fun part) opening for Dio in Milwaukee on the Angry Machines tour.

I doubt Nevermore will be on Powerfest. They are doing NEM&H Fest though.

edit: for the record, I got my info about NEM&H Fest from a newsletter sent out by Unexpect, who is also playing.

Even though Nevermore would be HUGE for Powerfest....I am glad to hear they are not playing. As a promoter...dont know if I would trust Nevermore to even show up...look at ProgPower.

I didn't say "Nevermore is not playing". I said that I doubt they'd do it.

Look at ProgPower? They cancelled so they could do a European tour opening for Disturbed that turned them on to more people than ProgPower would. Chances are, most people that go to ProgPower hate Nevermore (at least, that's what their idiot message board group would reveal)... which would mean that they already know of the band. As a career move, ProgPower isn't as big as a Disturbed tour. Sorry.

Classy.

If you actually knew anything, you would know that Nevermore pulled out of ProgPower TWICE, one of those times being within a month of the fest. Whether it brought them more money/fans or not, you can't deny the fact that this sort of behavior is EXTREMELY unprofessional, and any enmity from the ProgPower camp toward Nevermore is very much deserved. Nevermore are proven flakes.

And for the record, Nevermore went over quite well when they were announced as a headliner, even the second time. Most of the negativity toward them on the ProgPower board came about after they had pulled out of the fest not once, but twice, and more of the ProgPower board people actually like their music than not.

I highly doubt they gained any new fans from a Disturbed crowd. Like Boob said, they have a great following from the ProgPower crowd. The anger is based on the cancelling of the shows.

So, hows Circus Maximus (Edit: Just noticed Manticora is touring with Jon Olivia's Pain in europe during the fest time, so nevermind) looking now that their US tour dates didn't pull through... Any possibility?

How about Zero Hour? Pagan's Mind?

I'd love to see those bands hit a fest that isn't PP considering I have the WORST luck attempting to attend PP (I get screwed out of it every time I attempt to go, some how. It never fails. This year, I think I'm going to lose the use of my legs 3 days before the fest, after all the money is paid.)

Edit: And yes, I HAVE been on a real prog metal kick for the last few weeks. I can feel my vagina growing rapidly.

coincidently I think the tour got skraped all together thought I could be wrong.

So true! So true!! Which is why we're waiting to make our next announcement the one with the most impact on just that!! Although, there will definitely be some sort of announcement within the next 36 hrs...just hoping it'll be better of two possibilities.
