Im sure there has been a million of these in the past and Im sorry for those that get bothered by a repeated thread but who cares...
I was wondering what peoples top 20 albums of all time were. I love making lists like these and I really enjoy seeing other peoples list cause then you can sometimes bump into something new.
So the top 20 albums of all time, 20 albums you just had to take with you on a deserted island for the rest of your life.
Heres mine in no particular order:
Radiohead "Ok Computer" (pure genius)
Opeth "Blackwater Park" (the best Opeth album in my oppinion)
Opeth "Ghost Reveries" (brilliant also)
Ulver "Perdition City" (perfect when you need a dose of futuristic darkness)
Ulver "Bergtatt" (a true classic)
Sigur Ros "Agaetis Byrjun" (amazingly beautiful)
Amorphis "Elegy" (changed my life)
Amorphis "Eclipse" (very glad this album came out)
Fugees "The Score" (the oddball on my list but I think its great)
Gotan Project "Tango Revancha" (accordians are great)
Jean Sibelius "collection" (must respect Finlands great composer)
Tool "10,000 Days" (best Tool album in my oppinion)
Massive Attack "Mezzanine" (Beats and darkness the city way)
Emperor "Anthems to the Welking at Dusk" (the greatest black metal album)
Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the moon"
Dave Matthews Band "Live at Golden Gate Park" (I guess there a little hippy inside of me too)
Metallica "The black album" (I owe a lot to this album)
Dimmu Borgir "Puritanical..." (gotta love Dimmu, well you dont but I do)
Arcturus "Sideshow Symphonies" (Simen is amazing and so is Sverd)
Arcturus "La Masquerade Infernale" (another classic)
Albums that almost made it: Sigur Ros "Takk", Dimmu "Death Cult", Radiohead "Hail to the Thief", Tool "Aenima", Katatonia "Great Cold Distance" and Opeth "Still Life.
Cant wait see what other people list...
