I love the inclusions of "7th Son of a 7th Son" and "Reign in Blood."

"Hey guys, you know we need some classics as well, I know Opeth is the be-all end-all of music and art but people are going to whine if you don't include Maiden or Reign in Blood."
 
The list is ridiculous. 9 out of the top 10 are from Sweden. And the only non-Swedish entry is pop-metal. These guys didn't even include any American brutal death metal or 80's classics other than a few. All they listen to, apparently, is melo-death and easy listening black metal.

These guys are wimps.

Every Soilwork and Opeth album is included except for the recent releases. Is this website run by the Special Olympics?

Barring Reroute to Remain, the only IF releases left out were the ones without Friden, which happen to be the band's best. Holy shit.

This may be my favorite album ever, but I don't consider it very metal, and I would never put it in a top X metal list anyhow.
 
I really want to know if it's just the writer's that come up with these lists, or if readers can vote as well. But I went there (www.metalbite.com) and tried to find a voting button for 2003 and found none.

I agree, many are great albums, but hardly Best of All Time material. It's like they basically skipped over all of the originators and went straight into the mid to late 90's and picked every melo-death release. Soilwork? Darkane? Children of Bodom? WTF?
 
And except for Dimmu and Mayhem, they basically ignored black metal. Where's Immortal? Bathory? Burzum?
 
Hum, I missed Anathema "Judgement". I'll blame their misspeling. 22 then.

Which originators you ask? Well they included Dimmu fucking Borgir but not Bathory or Mayhem or Darkthrone or...

26. I am just over half trendy. Out of these the only definite one I would have in my top metal albums of all time is Rust in Peace.
