Any chance of some more Metal bands?

Nevermore!! Those guys are fantastic live, would fit in with this bill perfectly, keep releasing quality albums, and best of all, will be set to tour by summer 2003 for sure!! They are in the studio right now but I'm sure they are booking shows for summer. Please Please Please look into them!!

Saxon, White Skull, Vision Divine, Annihilator, Lost Horizon would all be very nice

I would LOVE to see Lost Horizon play, I don't think they've played in this country before and they're a su-frickin-perb band.

I might do a seperate post about that. I really want to see them play. I was given their sampler at Bloodstock last year, so it would be somehow appropriate if they played.

Saxon would also be very cool.

I've heard good things about White Skull, but I have only heard short samples of their work.

I think the guys who run Bloodstock need to start booking a few heavier bands for the second stage. I think Children of Bodom, In Flames and Immortal would be good choices.

I was really pissed off last year when they had to close the doors of the second room cos too many people wanted to see Bal Sagoth.

Granted the big power metal bands will bring in the crowds, but so will big death/black metal bands. If Decapitated or Napalm Death were to be confirmed for BS03 i would be damn sure that there would be a lot of people buying tickets just to see them!

It was said on another thread that the doors had to be closed when Bal-Sagoth played because so many people wanted to see them, doesn't that show that people don't just go for the power metal?

Yes i agree, power metal is a big part of the fest and i like a lot of it but there needs to be a few black and death metal acts too. Behemoth, Borknagar, Dark funeral, Nile, Dimmu borgir, Opeth, My dying bride, Thyrane or Dimmu borgir would kick ass!
