Any ideas for a PCI interface?

ive allready got a audiophile 2496 but im lookin to upgrade, Anyone know of any good cards? im runnin a AMD dual core blah blah blah pc its fast so yeah...Chuck some of your know how my way

You want something with a 'breakout' box type interface... go Firewire.

you might checkout the Delta 1010LT or just the Delta 1010. im using the LT version and i love it (so far).

The 1010LT is going to have the same chipset as the 2496 so the only advantage of that one would be more inputs. I'd go for something Firewire, too.

would the presonus firebox be a good choice then? i think the firepod is abit overkill i dont need 8 inputs

Get an E-MU 1616m
Great converters, very good preamps and it's pci -> lower latency
I got mine used and am very happy with it.

It all depends on what you need. Recommendations will be different if you need just a stereo i/o as opposed to 8+.

If all you need is 2 ins, don't upgrade - get nicer preamps with the money. The Audiophile 2496 has really good converters for the money - good enough to warrant holding off on upgrades until you feel like spending eight times its price on a new ADC.
