This band sounds almost EXACTLY like a less good version of Miss May I. They even have a song called 'The Architect' and Miss May I have one called 'Architect'.
Anybody else think this is awful?

Took me a min to get used to the opening timing. This isn't my thing but meh it's no attack attack.
In fact, people should quit comparing bands to attack attack unless it's really warranted. Even then point out something specific. This is nothing like Attack Attack, neither is Periphery.

I agree with loren on the timing....it just feels really weird to listen to in the beginning....the song wasnt the best but if it was playing i wouldnt turn it off, (if that makes any sense)
The only thing I HATE is- WHYYYYY does every band feel the need to crab out now...in the vid jeff posted the song is sterile as shit to me but it was more tolerable until I noticed they were crabbing and it completely ruined it for me...Im starting an anti-crab league

Only thing disappointing about this band is that Joey said they couldn't play the stuff well.

I've written some tracks. I just don't have a bass to record the full length songs yet. If you've looked the rate my mix/tone thread you'll see i've posted 2 sort of ideas within the last week. I think you've taken this post a bit too seriously mate. I just came across it and thought 'Wow, people consider this good musicianship?' It's a matter of taste and i'm surprised by a few members opinions but then again...whatever floats your boat.

Yeah, I saw them - it's some cleanish stuff with drum tracks behind it. Cool enough stuff, but like you said, they were 'sort of ideas.'
Why are you expecting 'good musicianship' out of a scene band like this? Take it for what it is - you wouldn't expect a theif to be honest, why expect a scene band to be virtuosos?
It is a matter of taste, and you can be surprised all you want, but grow up a bit and stop harping on it. You don't see me posting a thread with a link to the myspace in your sig complaining about how it's the most generic, boring, contrived, titanic-sinking kind of djent that's been done over and over and over and over and over again.

To let the locks fly free you have to get low. There is a level of shallowness, both on physical and and non-physical level, which trespasses into the territory of Crabcorism, which in itself is something to be shunned from if you truly believe in metal.

Nope, even in the breakdown, it's just legs spread, slightly bent, headbanging. Their knees aren't making acute angles by any stretch of the imagination - not even hitting 90º!
