Anybody familier with Battery?

Every time I program a drum track in Cubase using Battery to trigger the sound, the sound always glitches on me. For instance, a double bass track will have random hits, or a "ghost" sample of the bass drum will go off. I have some clips uploaded so you can see what I mean. Anybody know how to fix this problem?

In cubase, go to audio "aiuo" (or whatever...i can t remember the acronym) drivers and try using a different one/ You want whichever has to quickest response. Too slow and it glitchs like that.

Thanks for the help everybody, that was the problem. However, it still does it, just not quite as bad. Could it just be that my sound card (Integrated Yamaha )sucks and I need a new one, or I just need better drivers? I was planning on buying an M-Audio Delta 1010lt at the end of the month anyways, would that fix it?

Yeah it'll be fine with the new one. Cheaper cards have bigtime latency issues going on. There prolly ain't any new drivers either.

depending on you hardware configuration I would also suggest more ram, since
working with software samplers requires more than a normal system.

I have a P4 2.4ghz system with 512DDR RAM, I know it works fine for most games, is it fine for software samplers as well?

You might want to upgrade to at least a GB of ram dude.

I get by with 512 but its far from ideal.

512MB might work but I guess your box is also running some other software too, then you will get happy with at least 1GB.

RAM is like cylinder capacity in motorbikes and cars:
Cylinder capacity cannot be replaced by anything. Except for more cylinder capacity. ;-)

i'm using a dual 1.42 Ghz Mac G4 with 2Gb's of RAM.. i can usually run up to 56 tracks or more and dozens of plug ins... including at least 4 soft-synths... at any given time before i start running into any problems. of course the more i add the more i have to raise the buffer setting. one of the best interfaces i could recommend within a reasonable budget is the MOTU 2408mk3.

Certainly, MOTU make some very nice stuff. I'd second that recommendation and then third/fourth/fifth it. Maybe then augmenting it as a 7th...?

I use the Motu 2408 (with PCI-324 card). Works fine on my windoze box, even most pc users complain about bad drivers.
