Same here; and frankly to all you who believe creepy magical things may happen if shit goes down... well I hope they do. Hell, there is a small chance dragons may come out of the rips in space from that micro-cosmic shit that goes down, and that is good - we need more damned dragons people. Fuck, just fuck man, get over it and accept that science is awesome; hell, so are dragons, and scientifically proven dragons are the best thing ever.

Close enough. The priest/scientist who was murdered at the beginning of Angels & Demons was attempting to find the "God particle" through these collisions.

Fiction aside, I hope we can use this to create wormholes. That way we can colonize other viable planets before we make the Earth uninhabitable.

In-fucking-deed. If we can produce that cheaply, efficiently and safely we can shut down every fossil fuel plant in the world.

Of course all the companies running those coal and gas plants will have their money in polticians' pockets, so it will still be a shitshow.
