i ask because when i went to buy my tix i noticed that there was no secure connection for me to put in my credit card info. is there anybody else here who felt shady about that?

It doesn't use HTTPS until you actually click the button to submit your info. I was a bit uneasy about it, but since my Visa card is fraud protected, I just said "What the hell" and clicked on the button to submit in CC info. From what I remember, as soon as I did that it made an HTTPS connection to the site and submitted my info. So it seems to use SSL.
