I joined the Nevermore bandwagon with DHIADW and worked backwards through the catalog. I prefer the Andy Sneap produced album over the Kernon material. To me, the Kernon sound is muddier, with less tonal depth. I love the drum sound and vocal production on DHIADW in particular, but I also prefer the guitar tone and production to prior albums. I respect Kernon's work, though. The band sounded edgier and thrashier on those albums and, judging from the posts on this forum, that is what a lot of the long-time fans prefer.
