If so how about a real hands on real life non bias review of it so far and some clips. I heard the clips on the site and one on soundclick so far. I dont think it sounds too much better than the old one. Perhaps a bit brighter eq and more verb but, i'm sure its all about the number of samples it comes with though and probably made it even easier to use. do share though.

In my opinion, there is absolutely no comparison. DFHS 2.0 is the best drum sampler I've used by a long shot. I'm working on a song with it right this second and I'll post it when I get it done in a few hours.

At first I was a bit underwhelmed by Superior 2.0 but I don't have much time to really work with it at the moment.

The general basic sounds are killer to me, though. Especially if you like "real", roomy, powerful drumkits ...

I'll get it once i have my new PC ready, i am sure there are some nice kits to work with, how is the compression in the plugin itself?

Haven't tried it yet. I had problems with it crashing once I load the room mics, but that must have been due to some conflict with one of the many plugins in my template. When I used a clean Cubase project, it worked. I love the transient designer. Not too happy with the EQ. It kinda feels weird.

Then again, I only played around with it for maybe 1h max since I got it ...

Bob, you're going to love it! The included effects are great. I am using the stock plugins on all the mics, but I also add some limiting and EQ on the kick and snare in Cubase. Its very minor though. 90% of the kit is straight out of the box with internal effects. A couple of the snares absolutely crack when tailored right and the kick is awesome once you dial it in too. I'm using no sound replacement with Drumagog/Slate. It really does not need it!

nice mix/song as usual splatt ... I've heard various clips here on the forum... dunno, I don't seem too impressed with toontracks new offering...guess I'm used to dfhs1 and ezdrummer

yep coz i forgot to install additional ambience - it gives a life to the drums - and i found out how to use intenal mixer... with this thngs it sounds like a real thing

No offense guys but so far it doesn't seem worth spending the money on. You guys did great recording jobs and programming. Tons better than I could ever do but the program itself seems like a rehash of the old one. Big deal it came with efx. I'd rather use plugins I have than theirs. The cymbals seem to be the same ones from previous programs. Isnt there any zildgian samples? The bass drums sound good though. The hihats and ride do sound better though. The snare and toms are still lifeless. Perhaps in the coming weeks after everyone who bought it and get used to using it and finding out the quarks and tricks I will change my mind. Thanks for posting. Hope to hear more in the future.

Id say this product is not even comparable to ANYTHING else, certainly nothing released by toontrack. Its is by no means an old product with some new plugins.....The toms sound incredible to me, the snares are a vast improvement over any of the other previous snares from the dfh line, and the cymbals sound very different to the other cymbals on offer on old products. Also in this version we get an 1176 compressed snare track, various different room mic configurations, plus the ability to mix and match kits, more variations and a TON more.

For the folks who might not be too familiar with Superior, keep in mind that Kenny Lee (Gorilla) and myself are both very familiar with S2, as we have been testing for some time now.

Not to be cocky - just to lend a hand if needed - just shoot me a PM and I will be happy to help you if I can. If I can not, I will try to turn you on to somebody who is more familiar with your layout.

FWIW
