Anyone here like Brainstorm ?

Saw them at PPUSA a few years ago and loved them live, so I bought "Ambiguity." For some reason it didn't click with me, so I put it away. Brainstorm was announced for PPUSAX, so I decided to pull it out again and give it another shot. I don't know what was wrong with my ears the frst time around because the band is pretty bad-ass.

Huge fan of the band. They're a major factor for why I plan on attending PPUSA this year (And Fates and CM).

For my money, their best album: Liquid Monster - with Soul Temptation as a very close second.

Bryant, Ambiguity was a pretty mediocre CD - everything after it is great.

brainstorm is the shit!! i love them.
soul temptation is my favorite album, that is brilliant. liquid monster is great as well, but ST still ranks up at the best.

It's about the only USPM I like (I know they're not American, but their style is similar to USPM) and I really do like it. I strongly recommend Metus Mortis.

I didn't care for Liquid Monster too much.
I would say that Metus Mortis and Soul Temptation are their best.

I haven't heard Downburst.

Great record. The album cover reminds me of the G.I. Joe comic book and cartoon character Storm Shadow...

I bought their newest, "Downburst," but haven't made it to those other three yet. I will definitely get all of them. Pretty darn good band.

You definitely need to check out Pagan's Mind as well. They were beyond awesome at PPUSAVIII. In fact, I think it will be a battle between Braqinstorm and Pagan's Mind on who is going to be Saturday Night's "darling" at PPUSAX.
Ambiguity is not great, but it has a few great songs on it. "Demonsion" is a bad-ass track. Would love to hear that song live.

You definitely need to check out Pagan's Mind as well. They were beyond awesome at PPUSAVIII. In fact, I think it will be a battle between Braqinstorm and Pagan's Mind on who is going to be Saturday Night's "darling" at PPUSAX.

PM on their albums does little for me. They're fantastic musicians but their songwriting has never hit me. I do love their song Embracing Fear though.

You really ought to add Circus Maximus to that list. Their singer will likely be the best vocalist of the night and those dudes can PLAY!

Just discovered a band called Eternal Reign (album: Forbidden Path). It's the best album Brainstorm never recorded and their singer is a dead ringer for Andy.
