I'm thinking about getting a copy of either xp or vista so that I can take advantage of some of the sweet PC only plug ins....

Any PC users out there wanna give me some advice of which OS to get?

Also, any cool gtr sim related shit I should check out!

Thanks.

Dude, don't do it!. I was using Boot Camp in my macbook until i noticed my usb and firewire ports don't work at total speed.
Boot Camp is only for people who want to open word documents or to use little aplications of windows.
Right now i'm working with Logic and there's almost nothing that you can't do with it.

That was my experience and,the best advice i can give you is...DON'T DO IT!

Greetings!

Hahahaha, I figured that's the kind of reply I'd get. I was going to install it on a separate firewire drive so if it does screwy I can bail out pretty quick.

The big thing for me is all the VST plugs that are PC only...gclip, the voxengo pc stuff....SIR ...

Hmmm.....

I would give it a shot. I was a tech support for apple for a year, and I helped many customers set up bootcamp! Seemed to work pretty good. didnt have many people call in and complain about bootcamp, and i was usually able to solve most issues or isolate the 3rd party causing the issue.

Well I think either way I'll give it a shout...I guess my real question now is XP or Vista?

I am about to do a Boot Camp / Windows 7 install on my MacBook. I will report on how it goes.

Innovation is coming to the Windows platform first, especially in the economic downturn, because it is so much cheaper to develop in Windows. Thankfully, with Windows 7, Microsoft has finally gotten around to making a decent OS.
