I got a demo from The Lebanon recently from a band called Infinity.

Unfortunately it was a crock of shit, but it's nice to see scenes springing up in places you wouldn't expect.

Nervecell is actually a pretty good death metal band from Dubai. Their latest album was mixed by Alan Douches who worked with bands like Suffocation or Sepultura.

Yeah, Melechesh. The Greek Metal Hammer mag. at some point way back had a demo of them. They are pretty cool. They play "Mesopotamian Black Metal" or thats what they say if I remember correctly.

There was a documentary here about an Iranian death metal band a few years ago... the members were due to be expelled or sentenced to long term prison sentences or even for capital punishment. The guys kept still playing.
