Are there other VSTi plugs similar to ReFX Slayer?

reFX Slayer is old and not sounding great...
i'm looking for some VSTis similar to that one, capable of modelling high gain guitars that i can play and automate using midi keyboard.
No, i don't need Guitar Rig, Amplitube or Waves GTR kind of plug (that are just like software amps and fx) and NO, it's not for music production, it's just for quick song "sketches" i can do with drums, bass and distorted guitars (as realistic as possible).

Please list everything you know.
