This state has probably produced a bigger stoner/doom scene than anything else, particularly any that Wino has played for (The Obsessed, Spirit Caravan) and few others that pretty much share members like Internal Void, War Injun, and Nitroseed. A lot of the more significant death metal bands from here are gone now (Horror of Horrors, Garden of Shadows, Pessimist).
