Really disenchanted to find out my 2Control has become noisy when swinging the volume control up around the 12 o'clock mark. I was assured that this would not happen, given the design of the unit.

What's the deal? Anyone know why this would be happening? Do I really need to get an Avocet just to not have to deal with scratching noises every time I use a volume knob?

wd40??? NOOOOOOOOOOOO that'l fix it for about 5 minutes then it'll get 10 times worse, as it'll drive the lubricant (hahha) out of the pot
Use proper contact cleaner.

Wasn't this one of the issues why I was afraid to go SPL when we discussed monitor controllers? Seriously, I haven't used a single SPL controller that didn't have some sort of pot issues.

That being said, proper cleaner might fix it for some time. AFAIK any "lubricative" cleaner is a no-no, since it gathers a lot of shit in a short time. Definitely avoid WD40, that stuff is for rusty hinges, not audio equipment.
