If a tree falls in a forest, and no one is there, does it make a sound?
The question is . If we were in a forest and a tree fell , would we hear it , or would our minds just think that we had seen it , and heard it . Is the tree real , is sound real , and if it is all real and true . Why did the tree fall , what was it at the particular time that made the tree fall . Why did it fall to the north , south , east or west . Why was there exactly enough gravity , wind , age (of tree) , lack of other trees to block wind and hold it up , roots to hold it up . Why did the seed grow in that place so close to humanity . or was it far away from humanity and , we just destroyed everything to get to the tree , and it all happened for a reason . it all happened so that we could see the tree fall , and hear it . Nobody realizes the coincedence's that would have to happen for a person to see a tree fall , and hear it . Everybody takes things for granted and never really takes the time to notice all the things that had to happen for that tree to fall . If everybody took just 10 minutes a day to figure out how an event happened (like somebody seeing the tree fall) , if we did ,
it would help us better understand things , instead of just passing them by and forgeting about it . No one notice's the little things , when they are so complex .
Just think of how many secounds are in a minute , x that by how many minutes there are in a day , x that by the number of days in a week , x that by the number of weeks in a year , then x that by your age ( and add on the extra seconds left over , half of a year etc) . You'll find the number is pretty damn large , that's around how many seconds heave ticked by sence you've arived on this earth . then look at a clock with the extra hand on it for sec, and just watch your life just tick by . I meen we just sit here for thousands of seconds , each and everyone of us , just typing away , and what purpose does it serve , ohhhhhh gee , wouldn't it be just fine if you could get your music and meet other opeth fans without computers . It would be a lot more interesting , go out for a beer with fellow opeth fans , discuss music , and other things . If you set down to a table with an opeth fan you are more influenced to say things , on a computer you are more passive because it takes more time and energy to type things and get a reply , so points are not made with computer .
If you get 5 e-mail's per day , you may not reply to everyone , even if they are an opeth fan , but if you get 5 letters in at your mailbox everyday and one of them is a letter from an opeth fan , you immediately sit down and write a reply to that person , you will wait around and hope that you get a reply back , and when you do you are relieved and cannot wait to read it and reply .
But anyway thats just my opinion . Excuss my poor grammar and spelling .
