Instead, you should curse out loud for a few hours, turn your flat upside down, go buy a new one, notice that it doesn't fit, solder yourself a custom cable that kills the POD, order a new POD, fire it up, play a few riffs and find out the hiding cable was actually in your left hand.
That's what I usually do. I have actually re-bought several course books for school just to find out at the end of the period that the missing books were in the sealed packages they came in, cause I had forgotten to open them.

Me neither, back in the dialup days only having an internal USR modem made you look cool. Perhaps I would've got laid if I had an external one

Yeah well but a friend of mine had this industrial level modem that had a built-in CID, a shitload of leds and even came with a really cool headset... I'm sure THAT would have scored some serious SysOp diggin' poontang!
