I got talking about this with some of my bandates while ago. What do you claim to be your finest achievements in life thus far? Hell, what do you WANT to achieve in your lifetime? Answers on the back of a postcard.

As long as I have music, freedom, and a good companion (woman), I will be happy.

What have I achieved in my 17 (almost 18) years of living? I've survived my family's alcoholism, I've survived sexual abuse, and I care deeply for my friends. I'm still alive and kicking, and happy. I know that isn't saying much but what do you expect from a 17 year old?

Yeah. For the sake of our sanity, let's not go there.

Anyway, one of my life achievements comes from giving Landphil the Glen Benton on Friday night. I'm sad like that. Also, The Devil's Legion is a kinda big deal isn't it?

Haha no, basically 'the Glen Benton' is derived from the Scars of the Crucifix vdeo - watch it from 1.07 to 1.14, there's Glen pulling ridiculous faces at these serious looking bikers  It's become an in-joke in Bloodbrawl, so every so often you'll go up to someone and 'Glen' them. See my profile image on Facebook to see all of my band 'doing the Glen Benton' :p

Best part was, Landphil got the joke

Fucking love that song, and album, and man, and band...

DEICIDE FUCKING RULES FUCKING FUCK!!!!!

I wish I knew people in person that understood metal jokes that didn't involve Metallica...

This is gonna be such a motivating topic :Smug:
Almost 19, doubled class twice, haven't even kissed a girl, family's fucked up, no friends, and after 2 - 3 years I still suck on every instrument I play.

Let's see, I'm a fair bit older than most of you - been around the block a few times, survived a stint in the Armed Forces, survived my family breaking up and the four year drink and drug fuelled binge that followed (including one near death experience which served as a much needed wake up call!), saved a good friend's life just by being there for him when his marriage went down the crapper (I'm particularly proud of that one). Worked many shitty jobs including 10 years in pub management. Then, 5 years ago, I decided to completely change my life by going back to college, then university, graduating 2.1 in Model Design and Special Effects. On my course I did 2 month's work experience in the film industry, working on 2 films, one of which I got my first ever film credit on. The film has won 20 awards so far, and is up for 2 Bafta's this evening. Since I graduated (June last year), work in the film industry has been non -existent, which is pissing me off quite a bit, but at least it's the same for everyone at the moment.

well, I'm 20. I'm still at university and am thinking about grad school. I came here from highschool as a Junior with 47 credits. when my boss scheduled me to work 10 hours and refused to let me take a Lunch break, I told him to screw himself, I'm not some fucking Illegal wetback immigrant, and won't tolerate that bullshit. I've hiked in and out of desert canyons. I've had a pretty easy life so far. No complaints, any problems that I have are my fault to begin with.

Aw, chin up dude. Everyone has their moment. And you far from suck my friend, I've seen some of your vids!

Well, I'd have to say my finest achievement in life so far is landing the girl of my dreams, best damn lady-friend a guy could wish for (excluding music taste ). Beautiful, amazing girl. Also, I'm lucky enough to have some great friends, including two with almost the exact same music taste as me, which is pretty awesome considering what most people listen to around here. /overly emotional

I've passed Level 1 and 2 NCEA, got a job as liquor assistant in a supermarket (). In other words there's not a shit of a lot to my life at the moment. My music is what I'm most proud of, and I'm really thankful I found it, cause now I can't stand to be without it. Been playing guitar for about 2 and a half years now... got a few tasty riffs/ideas in the bank... hoping that'll take me somewhere eventually, just gotta get out of New Zealand, as a good metal band from NZ is something completely unheard of.

Also proud to be myself and not follow shitty trends in a country (or at least this half of it) plagued by clones with the exact same clothes, hair-style, music taste (whatever's on MTV), etc.

But nothing to complain about really, life's awesome. :D

Life acheivements in the few years I've been around?

Playing two amazing gigs in an 1000 seater venue, having my Anthrax biography being used as the official one on the Sonisphere website (I'm sad), having amazing friends, climbing (not hiking) Snowdon with a broken arm, playing for the first team in my primary school football squad (who won a national tournament)

There's probably other ones but I'm too hungover to remember

Ok I thought long and hard about this and I will share with you, my life achivement

I am profoundly deaf, this means that I have only 20% hearing which makes conversations in pubs and clubs fun, 80% of my hearing doesn't exist, so being able to speak is my proudest achivement, I don't sound like a deaf person speaking, you know, the funny noises a deaf person makes when speaking? Well, as some of you know, as you have already met me and spoke with me know that I speak pretty clear
