Anyone know what happened to this legendary death metal band? They had a great album out in 2000 'On The Wings Of Inferno', but I can't seem to find any other info on them. Are they active? Did they split up?

I had The Rack a looong time ago. Not sure what happened to it but it was a nice, crunchy album. Very heavy. Not sure what happened to them, though.

Asphyx split after they released On the Wings of Inferno. The band had a total of 7 releases over the years, plus 1 release under the moniker, Soulburn.

The Rack is their best releases, and one of the few quality early 90's death metal releases.

I actually have On The Wings Of Inferno. It is a pretty good CD or straightforward old school deaththrash. Too bad Asphyx disbanded.
