i have wharfedale speakers of the first generation they actually made in china, and the common consensus was by doing that (paying attention to components and design, but using cheap-ass labor) they increased the quality of their shit by about 560000%. wharfedale used to be good in the 80's, then a bad joke throughout most of the 90's and early 00's, and by getting their shit together and moving production to china, they went from making shoddy english crap to actual good speakers again.I also noticed that every speaker now is pretty much made in China at this under $500 price point and some even higher priced ones ... what the fuck is going on with that. that was never the case before with 99% of brands.
