Audiophile Crap

there is a track named "Must be the Ganja" on the new Eminem disc (which is fantastic btw) that has an insanely deep but sickly tuned bass line.
Try to play it on your system Ken ... curious what you think.

The fire coordinator down at mi trabablow brought this great clip to my attention last night. I had seen a short gif of it a day prior, but couldn't make out where the fuck it was from, or how recent it was.

LOL ... that looks like a setup Jerry but funny nonetheless.

the new Eminem disc is damn great though. All you into hip-hop should give it a listen.
its damn dark, darker than the darkest BM ... but every track is a winner, which is a rarity on any cd nowadays.

Eminem's from da streets of Detroit. Did you all know that? I want to be sure. I was worried that someone who might have been a teenager in the mid 90s did not have that shoved down their throats. I repeat: Eminem is a white rapper. He is from da streets of Detroit. He is a very talented musician. He is almost as talented as Kanye West but not quite.

Thoughts on Klipsch speakers in general for a stereo setup? I may be able to pull off getting half-price if I go with them. I've got a pair of Promedia 2.1's for my computer which are excellent, but know virtually nothing about their general Bookshelf/Floorstanding speakers.

great for Rock music ... i think they still have horn tweeters.

they are super loud and efficient even with a weak amp but are best used in a larger room. you will be swimming in a sea of soundwaves when cranked up.

from my experience with them years ago, the sound reproduction is awesome but they can be a bit fatigueing over long periods.

I auditioned Klipsh, Focal, and Paradigm in one store and found the Klipsh too bright for my tastes. I prefer warmer tones with my equipment. Best bet is to listen to them first... maybe go to a local store that has them, take some of your favorite music, crank them up and see what you think.

Oh yes.

Doomcifer : have you been listening to music on a "normal" system recently? Did it sound bad?

I'm planning to buy quite a nice system in the future but tomorrow is not the day.
