Badass Rap

Fucking dope, dope and dope. This is my favourite track on the entire album.

Cypress Hill have a bunch of solid albums. Black Sunday and Temples of Boom are great. IV and Stoned Raiders have some pretty good tracks too.

Black Sunday is pretty popular so i wont bother linking any songs.

and who can forget their badass Westside Connection diss track(in response to King of the Hill). He rips Ice Cube and Mack 10 big time

Temples of Boom is a masterpiece. RZA gets a lot of credit for doing "dungeon beats" first but Muggs did it before him.

I also really like Psycho Realm, a sick duo that B-Real joined in the 90's making it a trio.

Any Lynch fans here? I know CIG's a fan but anyone else? @Satanstoenail ?

the king or horrorcore

All day, every day, murda spray, got you in Glad Bags
Headed for the pad, and you can ask my dad
I was a scavenger, 14 years old eatin' scabs
Graduated to nigga meat, but I don't wanna brag
Fuck Jeffry Dohmer, he a muthafuckin fag
I got nigga nuts and guts in the bag, draggin' 'em to the pad

some of his newer stuff is pretty good too..

He's super old school and a lot of people say his style is outdated, since he does kinda sound like '89 all the way through his career.

Lynch is definitely the king of horrorcore though, he perfected it.

i just looked through some of his stuff and he apparently has an album(KKKill the Fetus) where he "encourages drug addicted women to have abortions". I'm not sure if that's true or not but that's pretty ridiculous and kind of makes me not want to check his stuff out. What he should've been doing is encouraging them to stop doing drugs and hoeing around. But yeah, that was a killer track that you posted for sure.

edit: wireless keyboard is crapping out on me again

I think I remember reading an interview where he said his mother was a crackhead and he wished he was aborted rather than put through his upbringing. I think it's probably a kind of extreme cynicism. But I tend not to take horrorcore lyrics seriously, even if the artists have serious intentions behind them.

Brotha Lynch raps about beating his GF and eating their child. In the end it's all pretty dumb and Esham was only 20 when he recorded that album. He was also heavily influenced by Geto Boys and claims that most of his old shock material was just over-exaggerated and done to get a reaction from people. He fully dropped Satanic themes after his '94 album and wanted to walk a "lighter path" or something so who knows what he thinks about abortion today.

yea but most of his Lynch's lyrics arent serious. You think he really eats kids or nuts and guts? While on the other hand it seems that Esham was trying to make a legit statement. Big HUGE difference

eh i cant really comment on the Esham thing anyway since im not familiar with him and havent even heard that album

Yeah that's fair enough.
