Band members read!!! Bodom cover art stolen????

still, i'm interested in finding out how this all worked, does cob have exclusive reproduction rights or did they lisence it from the artist, if they own it when did they acquire the rights, and when was the book publish, etc, i'm going for a digital media major next year in college and i need to learn all this copyright law stuff, though its probably different in finland than it is here in the usa. and what if the artist was in another country? how, then, are international arrangements made? time to go to the libriary, i think.

:p

and do any of the band members even read these forums? much less post here?

The same picture was used about a year ago by a local fraction (Graz, Austria) of the Freedom-Party in Austria (the one with Jörg Haider in, for those who know...) - it was used for a commercial poster, concerning drug abuse. In the figure´s hand, a needle was placed.... I was totally pissed off - I hate politics and especially this party!!!! And their drug policy sucks extremely. :p

Hmm that must mean I have a SW shirt then :). I have this shirt I got from some halloween store years ago and just noticed how similiar it looks with the cover. Hmm wierd stuff...

Janne and Henkka post here from time to time, but I'm afraid they are now (and the next few months) too busy with CoB.

Hi!

I've also seen the cover of something wild being used on the cover of a porn-movie. I don't remember the link but when I saw it I emailed Nuclear Blast. They couldn't tell me much, I don't remember exactly what they told me. Sounded like they wouldn't care very much that's for sure!

The SW cover is also used on a poster for an anti-drug-campaign in graz (graz03 - cultural capitol of europa in 2003, maybe you've heard of it) sometime ago.

grtz, head

"We commissioned the Hatebreeder album cover from the Canadian guy who did the original picture which we used for the first album"

From that interview.
