i haven't heard much on this album yet (not even any official reviews...), so, if anyone here already has it, how is it? is it as good as or even better than the first part?

I personally think it is better but to my dismay, there is really no acoustic stuff on it. It's very heavy and extremely catchy. Quorthon has thrown up his middle finger to anyone who said Bathory was dead after Destroyer Of Worlds. The packaging kinda sucks, though. Same picture throughout which to me is kinda lazy. Bottom line: The music speaks loudly enough for it and it's well worth the money spent on it.
and while we're at it: what would you buy, nordland II or the new moonsorrow? so much confusion, so little money

hm, no acoustic stuff... that's a real downer for me, since i love the bathory acoustics. but if there are some great hymns I can forget about that.
i just heard "the land" and that is one hell of a great song! IMO greater than anything on part I. if the rest of the material on part II is as stron as this killer... wow.

If you have Nordland I, buy the new Moonsorrow.
If you don't have Nordland I, buy Moonsorrow anyway.

And while we're at it, buy one and steal the other. You really need both of them. If you want a bit more mellow, get the Moonsorrow but both of them are excellent.

ill ahve to dig to see if i still have it, but basically he said it was terribel review (the only bad thing I said was that he cant sing, and some of the songs were "Ok"-it was genrally decent reivew), he procedded to ask if I was was in band and if not i should shut up-it was like two pages, he inlcued my review with comments inserted in red about variuos things i said. damn i hope I still have it.

I guess that's fair enough, but people need to lay off the fact that he dosn't have a great singing voice. Reviewers have been pointing out this fact since Blood Fire Death. Are people really still buying Bathory albums thinking his voice miraculiously improved?

Bathory wouldn't be Bathory without Quorthon's voice. Okay, so he's not going to win a Grammy with it but I don't think their music would work with another singer.

yeah, his singing - while not being "good" in the common sense of the word - really adds character to the music IMHO.

yeah it is all part of bathory's "sound", but without a choir to back him up its pretty cringeworthy.
