I think it's a symptom of geekiness to like oriental food. And yes, I like it too. Thus I probably suffer from geekiness. (Oh, wait, I don't suffer - I enjoy it. )
I don't even know if any store here sells roast seaweed. Some very well-equipped ones sell nori and sushi rice, but mostly it's just a collection of boring ready-for-the-pan instant sauces and such. Isn't it just awful how people are taught not to cook themselves? If stores would start selling only instant meals, I'd probably be the first one to start slitting my wrists. (Or at least I'd grumble a lot. )
