Beef

I think it's a symptom of geekiness to like oriental food. And yes, I like it too. Thus I probably suffer from geekiness. (Oh, wait, I don't suffer - I enjoy it. )

I don't even know if any store here sells roast seaweed. Some very well-equipped ones sell nori and sushi rice, but mostly it's just a collection of boring ready-for-the-pan instant sauces and such. Isn't it just awful how people are taught not to cook themselves? If stores would start selling only instant meals, I'd probably be the first one to start slitting my wrists. (Or at least I'd grumble a lot. )

Yeah, i have only had tofu i could actually eat ONCE and it was fried all to shit so you couldn't tell what it was. It was alright. But i hate tofu... never again.

I may have tasted rabbit sometime, but I was too little back then to really appreciate it.

The most exotic thing I've gotten to taste is black grouse. Though I didn't really like it, since it was afaik prepared by roasting it in the oven without any seasonings whatsoever. So it was too dry, but perhaps with the right kind of accompaniments it could taste good.

I've had chickens feet. That was sooo nice! Filled with chillie and ginger sause.

In my Lebbonese friends place I had baby calf hearts (sounds cruel, I know) It was ok, but his mum was amazed with me as an Ozzy actually ate it.

I remember having rabbit as a very small kid, I don't think I liked it. Most exotic thing I ever tried was Horse meat. Actually it wasnt bad at all..like beef but stronger and its very chewy so u have to have it cut thin.. But I prefer my horses of the 'Alive' kind. Oh I tried lamb brains once as a kid too..bleack!!!! and chicken liver..that wasn't that bad but i said 'bleack!!!' anyway, just to make sure it didn't become a regular meal.
But yes, turned semi-veggie (chicken and fish still acceptable) about 7 years ago.

Eew! Same. My grandparents used to cook rabbit stew which is a popular traditional Maltese dish. They had they're own rabbits and my dear old grandfather slaughtered them minutes after i was patting and playing with them :(

Weirdest thing I can recall eating is jellyfish.

There was this sause the chef put on it that was the gross bit. I hope its the sause - not the fluid of the gut! The actual octopus gut was VERY stringy and chewey like overcooked calamari.
