Keep in theme with Spiffy's 1992 poll the other day, I thought I would do 1989, lots of great albums that year!

I made it multiple choices becauseI can't just choose 1!

1. Skid Row
2. Alice Cooper
3. W.A.S.P.
4. Danger Danger
5. Pink Cream 69

Very honourable mentions to Motley Crue (I can't believe such a fantastic album didn't even make the top 5... that was a damn good year!), Kiss, Nitro, Pretty Boy Floyd, Leatherwolf, and Testament.

Nearly all those albums are great though! And there are lots more too which could've been there such as Kingdom Come - In Your Face and Cats In Boots - Kicked & Klawed.

Hmm, I thought I'd posted something here...

I voted for Headless Children, Skid Row and Dr Feelgood. You missed two other great albums, though:

"When Dream and Day Unite" - Dream Theater
"Gutter Ballet" - Savatage

Rock on!

The only album I own out of all of those is Sepultura "Beneath The Remains"... and it is a fine album... so I voted for that. I actually can't think of any other albums in my collection that came out in 1989... weird.

GOOD GOD! I forgot "The Real Thing", one of my all-time favourites! It's one of the very few albums which I consider to be masterpieces which I can't do with out, the others being:

Skid Row, "Slave to the Grind"
Pearl Jam, "Ten"
Mother Love Bone, "Apple"

It would probably be better if I had five albums in that group, but there hasn't been a fifth album which triggers that "GOOD GOD, THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM! PERFECT, EVEN!!" emotion in my head. Yet. Until someone mentions one.

There are only 20 options for the poll unfortunately or I would've done a massive list!!

I was gonna do the Savatage one actually...

I forgot Trouble Walking and Flying In A Blue Dream though!

Not many people like that Whitesnake album but I think it rocks. Vai is great. It's not as good as 1987 but still great all the same.

Now You're Gone... what a song!

The 1st time I heard that song my girlfriend at the time had actually gone on a 2 week holiday with her family to Europe and we had no way of talking to each other or anything....the longest 2 weeks of my life!
