Some of my favourite albums of some of those bands in there. Although I can honestly say the only two I actually heard back in '97 was Falling Into Infinity and One Second. The rest I've got into since then.

at reload and people thinking it is at all good and they played unforgiven 2 live once or twice, once certainly at the billboard awards, i have the vid of it, and it sounds even worse than the recorded version, so you know that it's fucking shite

Immortal I like but I couldnt rate Blizzard Beasts as a fav of that year...

too many years of heabanging for me.However, I do love DOAM and possibly even prefer it, how come you dont dig it? SATO, Believer, Little Dolls, Diary of a Madman are the tracks that I listen to the DOAM for.
Sorry, I'm derailing the thread but I'm a bit of mad Ozzy fan up to and including NRFTW
They played Unforgiven 1 heaps of times, it was a fixed part of the set for much of the black album tour which went from 1991-1993 and they played it a bunch of times over the recent tour

Yeah, you're right. When I made my list I just did a google search for 1997 and chucked in some bands who I knew had released some good stuff around that year.
