i would have voted for it anyway, but since you make it so convincing...

the out-of-key violins annoy me at times, though
I think they're great. As I touched upon in my review, it's quite original and fitting to use violins in such a discordant, squeaky fashion. I think it adds to the very unique atmosphere of the album more than any MDB-esque "beautiful" violins could.

Erik,

you know, the guys from At The Gates actually dont like this album ?
how odd, eh ?

and by the way, this reminds me that in high-school i fooled this stupid bitch in my class that the violin guy from this album is my father

heh
she bought it.

.

That's odd, yeah, but that's how artists are most of the time. I understand that people grow to dislike their early stuff... I know I do. They used to still play stuff from it live though. I have reasonably new (TSD-era) live renditions of "Windows", "Kingdom Gone" and "The Red in the Sky is Ours" and... they're quite breathtaking in any version really. I think TRITSIO is climbing into my top 3 ever list, bumping "Bergtatt" down a notch...

It's probably a tie between this or With Fear..., but I'm more familiar with the latter by quite some way so maybe TRITSIO is better.

Well, what I do know is that it certainly aint fucking Slaughter of the Soul. Although I wouldn't dislike it so much if it hadn't spawned 30002232i76327 copycats, the Keeper of the Seven Keys of melo-death that it is. In fact, it's not that I even dislike it, I just never feel the urge to listen to it as much as TRitSiO.

So Erik sir, you get my vote good chap.
