Yeh i still really like Heartwork. Just the demos for it are so much better.

The heartwork demos are referred to as the 'Parr-Street' demos right? I'll have to get those, I don't think I've ever heard them. Off to Google with me!

Now that I think about it, I don't have much Carcass on my computer - just Necroticism and Heartwork. MUST GET MOAR!!

Yeah, I don't know what half of it means:lol:

Gonna try to translate a song to my understanding...

Microwaved something

Something something something your something something
Something something and your something something
Dehydrated soup - crumbling something
Something sludge - dank, something aroma

Something something something, something your something
Melting your something and something your something

Your molten something is something by warm, molten enzymes
Slowly digested in microwaved slime
Your stomach is something, heat something your something
Your innards running like hot, sticky something

Mangled something, your something something
Your insides cooking, steaming and hot

That all I understand.

Heres by favourite Carcass lyrics from an early demo that my college tutor recorded! WAAA

Body on fire, carcass burning hot
Flesh green with cancerous putrid rot
Face shredded, arms and legs grated
Burns your face with evil hatred

Fece metal aaargh

Mutilated organs, roasted on a spit
He laughs as he makes you eat your own shit
Blow-torch sears the skull to melt your boiling brain
He'll rearrange your face structure
So you look like Michael Caine!!

Face melt aaargh!

I did do a cover of this. May youtube it.

I was the only one to vote for swansong?! Bah, it's an amazing album.

I wouldn't say amazing, but it's a lot better than it seemed when it was released. Generation Hexed and Polarised always get my attention. I don't consider "Keep on rotting" part of that album really, as they'd been playing it for a while live prior to the break-up.

I got back into Carcass about 3 years back, after Terrorizer stuck Corporal Jigsore Quandary on one of their cover cds....first time I'd heard the song in about 7 years, I think.

For me, it's Necroticism each and every time I think about what my favourite album is. I still dip into Reek... and Symphonies.... though, as they've got some absolutely brilliant songs on there (Burnt to a crisp, for example) and some of the music has a great groove to it (Genital Grinder)

I was over the moon when they got back together to gig again, and got my Damnation ticket as soon as it was confirmed they were playing in 2008. That set was fucking brilliant.
