My vote goes to Dimmu Borgir's cover of Metal Heart. I don't like the band too much, but damn, that song kicks ass.

I agree. Dimmu did a great job with that cover. I also really like Norther's versions of "The Final Countdown" and "Smash".

For some reason I find my self liking more and more The Offsprings cover of the Damned's "Smash it up." Dexter Hollard and the guy from the Damned seem to have similair voices for that song.

That cover of the Trooper is done by Norther not Children of bodom.

My GF asked alexi directly and he was confused(as he was drunk at the time) about the comment saying "I don't think we covered the trooper"
