Doomcifer - you seem to have universally good taste. I would agree with 70-80% of your choices here (my 10 were the first 10 that I thought were classic albums - I could come up with 10 more, quite easily)...

However - Soulside Journey - a top 10 DM album? Hmmmmmmmm.... I listened to this again yesterday, and while it isn't as moribund as I recall, it didn't seem to be anything other than decidedly average. What am I missing?

What are you missing? I don't know. Soulside Journey has more to do with aesthetics, to me personally. Same with Mental Funeral.

While I like Vader a lot, I've found their albums as a whole usually have a few bad songs. Plus I have a love for brutal death, so Suffocation rank up there for me in terms of favorite bands/albums.
