Best guitar strings for recording?

I LOVE Elixirs. Tried everything I could lay my hands on. But in case of electric and acoustic guitars I prefer Elixirs in 90 percent cases. Hate bass Elixirs though.

IMO Elixirs aren't as good when new as others, BUT they last with a semi bright/new feel for way way longer than regular ones..

Honestly, I kind of hate D'addario strings.. They get dull fast, especially if you pound the living fuck out of them like me.

+1, I can't stand D'Addarios, if I get a guitar with them on it, I change them immediately, even if they're brand new.

Would you notice? Don't think so.

My input? Strings are strings, gauge is the thing that really matters. I also hate coated strings with a passion (except on acoustics).

I use GHS and the beat D'addario and they last I think more than Ernie Ball

Well, you also got round core, crab core and hex core + different thickness of the core and shit. Sure there are differences... but not so big that I give a shit
