So lately I've been using D'addario strings but I just got another guitar and the strings are a good bit slicker feeling than my D'addarios. I think they might be EBs, not sure.

What strings hold life the best and feel best to you guys?

Daddarios really are great workhorses. But I've since moved to DR DDT sets. Long life, amazinging tuning stability and they feel... Tight??? I love them :)

I switched to Elixirs on most of my guitars simply because I'm sick of changing strings all the damn time. I generally prefer the tone of D'Addarios, but the Nanowebs aren't too bad. Kinda feels like you have fast fret on the strings, though.

I use two different sets of strings - on my down tuned guitars (my Ibanez guitars), I use Ernie Ball 2215 Skinny Top Heavy Bottom. I switched to them quite a few years ago and it's just worked for me for more down tuned stuff.

For my Fender type guitars and my Semi-Hollowbody, mostly in E Standard, I use Dean Markley Blue Steel strings 2556 10-46 gauge, they have a sound for both clean tones and less than hi-gain that I've just not found in other strings I've tried.

Depends on the guitar, Dean Markley or GHS most of the time, the last time I broke a string was like 10 years ago,
no clue how some people break strings all the time...going to try these cobalt strings, not a fan of elixier strings.
Gaugewise I am using pretty thick strings most of the time, on a 25" scale at standard tuning at least 11-52.

Was using daddarios for years, (11s) but have recently switched to the Dunlop heavy core strings, and am loving them. Great twang, bullet proof, and very stable

D'addarios are nice, DR DDT I liked alot too. EB slinky were nice. I'm still waiting to try the new EB Cobalt strings....they're supposed to be god-like or something, can't really say yet because I'm waiting for them to bring out the custom/single gauges.

D'addario via JustStrings.com bulk sets (unbranded, but they're D'addario).

Have tried Dunlop (not heavy core, just standard) pretty extensively (8 week tour) and they die way too quickly to be of any real use, especially for bass.

Haven't tried EB in years but I remember them being tinny feeling/sounding. Keen on trying the cobalt strings, so we'll see.

Snake Oil Strings Vintage LH on my Strat and Tele,
Elixir Strigns ond the Krautster
and Ernie Balls an all my other guitars

i really like how the ERnie Balls Sound and feel
