Best Guitar to play Heavy Metal music?

there really isnt a best guitar. it depends on what style you are playing and what is needed to get your tone. its pretty much all opinion and depends on whether you like the sound of the pickups and wood, the width of the neck etc.

start looking at the equipment you favorite guitarists use. This will give you a basis on where to start and compare other guitars from there. Keep in mind, most the famous guitarists are either getting paid for using certain equipment or getting a huge discount maybe even free guitars, so what they are playing isnt gonna be cheap.

It won't sound metal unless it's black and has a very metal shape.

Schecter, ESP, Ibanez are a few respected metal brands, but again there is no best, its all preference.
