Had to go Operation: Mindcrime. Easily the best.

Other honourable mentions go to Music From The Elder, Night of The Stormrider, The Crimson Idol, The Dark Saga and Avantasia: The Metal Opera.

They could all have gone platinum 40 times over....
They could all have been voted album of the Millenium....

...but Operation : Mindcrime is the most awesome album of its kind every written, and ever likely to be.

Guilty as charged, but I'm not so fanatical that I'd buy Peter's solo albums

BTW, whatever happened to Iced Earth covering The Oath on Tribute to the Gods? Not that Creatures of the Night isn't a great song, but The Oath rules too. Matt would do a better job on those falsetto parts than Mr Stanley IMHO.

The only solo album of Peter's I have is the Kiss one from 1978 and I havent even played it all the way through before. I skimmed through each track, but they all bored me within 20 seconds so I would pick up the needle and move to the next one. Worst thing that has ever been released with the Kiss logo on it.

Only cost me $2 though so it was worth it just to add to the collection.
