Best option to pitch-correct bass lines ?

Auto-Tune is the only one I have experience with on this, but it works great for tuning bass, as long as you're using "Graphical" mode. It even has a "Bass Inst" input field when you're setting up the tracking controls. Also, I've found that with the bass especially (in some cases), I need to dial forward the "Tracking" knob towards the "Choosy" side (which defaults to 50% between "Relaxed" and "Choosy"). Otherwise, if there are harmonics ringing in the bass tone, they can confuse Auto-Tune's ability to sense the pitch.

I find the Standalone Melodyne UI and transport to be extremely awkward. For that reason alone I'm considering buying Studio One Professional.
ermz, so you think to moove your tracks from PT to Studio One (for tuning or whatever) and than back again to PT for mixing/mastering?

btw.. I hate using melodyne on protools too..

damn this is amazing. i already export vocal bounces to pitch in cubase with variaudio, but the pitching algorithm is mediocre at best. i didnt even know about this... man, presonus making some big moves

IF bass would be lower than the retuning algorithm can handle and I would be very desperate, I would double the playback speed (including doubling the sample rate), use tune corection and slow the playback a half... As I sead... only if I would be very desperate
