I think one of the absolutely most talented power metal bands out there, although they don't have a large catalog to back it yet, is Lost Horizon.

Well if the 'Tage is power metal they're definitely the best ever!

Seeing as how they're my fav band!

After that I'd say Crimson Glory, Tad Morose, Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, Helloween and Helstar

ermm, talking bout the 80's Savatage here...if songs like "Sirens" aren't Power Metal I think I need a new description of "Power Metal" ...

I don't consider them Power Metal either, Savatage play "'Tage Metal" to me
Anyway, I even don't really consider some bands I mentionned Power Metal, but people usually associate them with the expression, so...

hahahahaha I have Sirens IMHO its not Power Metal But just Good ol "Tage Metal" as fang put it ....... But this could also very well be the difference in our ages Just cause to me its not Power Metal doesnt mean its actually not

my favorite is Blind Guardian, however, I love Hammerfall also

I don't think I would consider Iced Earth power metal. They sound 100x's different than bands like Blind Guardian and Helloween. Any way, my faves are Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, Nightwish, Dream Evil, and Falconer.
