Yep and I dont think you will see him hahahaha I reported the bastard Imedeatly the kid showed complete Disrespect for this Board and everybody that posts here .... Just by using the terms he did and assuming that We as a community were just like him hahaha it was interesting to say the least ... but it did bother me ... the RIP in my sig is for A great friend of mine who was black But a Brother of Metal None the less ... I wanted to find that kid rip off his arms and beat him to death with them

My favorites are Gamma Ray, Iron Savior mainly, but I love Edguy, Blind Guardian, Helloween (early), Avantasia (even though just projects), Freedom Call and Heavenly. I've missed out many because else the list would go on forever

The 4th Pantera album after "Metal Magic", "Projects in the Jungle" and "I am the Night" was indeed called "Power Metal". Pretty good album btw. It was the first album with Phil Alselmo.

I've heard probably one or two songs from that one. Not bad, kinda "glam" sounding if you will

I don't think it sounds "glam" more commercial for sure, but thats not always the same thing as "sounding glam"

Power Metal Was acutally A really heavy album .... compared to Like Metal Magic They were More "Glam" in thier look than in their sound

I even saw nu/metalcore bands calling themselves "Power Metal" It shows that it's a bastard expression that can be applied to anything. Chill out and choose your own definition of the genre... if you really need one

Pwermetal and prog are the subgenres bands get lumped into over the last few years if they fit no other subgenre. It's hard to pick your faves when there are no parameters tghat define the subgenres. Then again who is to say where a particular band fits ? Like many others hyere. if it sounds good, I like it. You can call Angel Dust hip-hop/country/jazz and I still think they kick.

Metal Church kicks ass as well...well, maybe "kicked" ass in the 80's is more appropriate. I haven't heard anything recent by them. (And probably won't spend the money either)

If Savatage is Power Metal....(I don't think they are)...but let us just say they are THEN they are the BEST Power Metal of all Power Metal bands... EVER!!!!! hahahaha!

I don't have one clear favorite but power metal bands I love are Edguy, Grave Digger, Running Wild, Stratovarius, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Primal Fear, and Hammerfall. There are many more I like but this is the elite. Oh yeah, RAGE too.
