Hey guys what kind of equipment do you recommend to bring if you were to record the band at a concert and rip to a digital file?

I would like to use it at an upcoming opeth show.

Hi,

I've used a MD-player to record the Mastodon/High on fire-gig a couple of weeks ago. The quality was very good, eventhough I had the player in my pocket. I used the normal little headphones as a microphone and it worked.
Good luck!

I am about to get into recording metal shows myself, you need:

-A MiniDisc recorder / DAT recorder
-Microphones (binaural or cardoid)
-A Battery Module *

* this is optional, but it supplies more power to your microphones, thus creating a better sound recording. It is somewhat necessary for loud concerts, otherwise you'll get a little bit more distortion. If you ever get the chance to talk to Dead6skin6mask6 on this site, he records concerts and does not use a battery module, but his recordings are still very decent sounding, but with a battery module, that would do wonders!

hmmm, well go to minidisc.org, there is plenty of information about all sorts of models and makes. Not to mention all the options that come with them...

Like I said, im new to it, and from what I posted, thats basically all the knowledge I have gathered from researching. From what I have researched,
