Interesting. I absolutely love the Crue. And while I think the title track is as good as anything they've ever written, there's not another track on this disc I can even get through. I actually much prefer New Tattoo.
I know a lot of people would consider a year like 1970, 1980 (years ending in zero) to actually be the last year of the previous decade. So 2000 might be considered the last year of the 90s, not the first year of the noughts. So if you think this way, the Ronnie-fronted version of Sabbath would not have debuted in the 80s but rather the 70s, which would disqualify them (it would also cause Ozzy-fronted Sabbath to have debuted in the 60s). In this case, I would go with Fates FWX. I thought of a few band candidates who debuted with one album in like 88 or 89, but I wanted to try and pick a band that was firmly established in the 80s and are still going today, albeit not intensively.
You know, for whatever reason, I don't think Ive really ever spend much time with those discs. Thanks for the tip... I'll revisit.
I knew this would happen... I'd forget about an 80s band. Jag Panzer completely slipped my mind. I will have to reconsider where I'd position Casting the Stones.
