At about 1:45 through the "Incantation" section of Crimson II there is the fucking coolest riff, and then the keys come in over the top of it and it's so wicked!!! Sorry just had to proclaim my undying love for that riff....

Yes, the whole alternate timing thing that Dan has going on is really interesting, I didn't know what to think of it first time I heard it.. my reaction was something like "What in the fuck?".. but it eventually grew on me, and is my favorite riff out of the entire album!

Yeah the riff at 1:45 is the best riff on the whole album in my opinion, I'm glad other people feel the same way. I wish came up with riffs like that! Oh well it's just perserverance and a matter of time before I start writing way better music than I am now. At the moment I'm writing melodic death/grindcore type stuff.
