Pick from the list (obviously). If I missed your favourite, then tough. Obviously he's not that great, otherwise I would have remembered him, wouldn't I? WOULDN'T I??

out of that list im gonna have to pick: Bruce Dickinson, Jon Bon Jovi and Lord Timmy!!!

BRUCE DICKINSON!

Followed closely by Sebastian Bach, Bruce just pipped him at the post for sounding 10x better live. I do *just* prefer Baz on record and the sound of his voice more.

Other honourable mentions: Paul Stanley for having THE "rock star" voice, Ronnie James Dio, Rob Halford for his pipes of steel (haha!!), Blackie Lawless and Alice Cooper for having awesome unique voices and lots of attitude, Don Dokken, Jon Bon Jovi, and Lord Tim coz he reminds me of something between Dokken and Dickinson which can only be good... and sounds unique unlike most power metal vocalists.

Also... Bret Michaels ain't a good singer but love his attitude, that guy is nothin' but a good time (ha.. ha.. ha.. I'm a comedian), and I love Vince Neil and Axl Rose's attitude in their voices!

Lord Timmy, I remembered Tony Martin after I had posted the poll :( I've only heard him on "Tyr", unfortunately, but he's definitely my second-favourite Sabbath vocalist after Mr Dio.

Ooh, and I forgot Geoff Tate. Oh well.

You know "Stars" by Hear'N'Aid??? Do you know who I honestly thought stole the show vocal wise on that song?? Paul Shortino!

He sung the lines "And we all wanna touch a rainbow!" and "Forever we will shineeeeeeeeeeee, whoaaaaaaaaaaah!"

Killer voice! Really stood out from everyone else's voice even moreso than Dio and Halford!!!

This is my 2000th post!!! *Crowd applause*

Thankyou... thankyou... :)

I have that song on a Queensryche rarities boot I've got... haven't listened to it in years, though, and didn't know who was who except for Ronnie J.

The Voice of Rock sounds very dodgy on the live Deep Purple CD I've got, though :) David Coverdale sings quite well, then Glenn Hughes comes screeching through, out of time and quite annoying :) He's excellent on "Burning Japan Live", though!

Hmm, lots of good ones there, but I think I might have to agree with Mr Spawny. Matt Barlow has the best range I have ever heard, and his voice sounds good no matter what he does with it. Also mixes very well with Jon's backing vocals. :)

Honerable mentions go to Rob Halford (I have only recently started to get into his work, but PHWOAR! What a fucking wail! "Live Insurrection" is godly!), Ronnie Dio (very unique and strong voice, awesome vocalist), Brucey of course (he can't get as high anymore, but in a way I think he has gotten better with age), James LaBrie (his stage ability lets him down, but in the studio, he is up there with the best), Blaze (I like his voice on TXF and think it suited the music and mood well, but he has really found his place since forming B L A Z E ), LT (awesome voice that I can't wait to hear recorded better on the new record), and of course Ozzy, the guy can't sing, but is so unusually unique that he is good!
