R.I.B. isn't my favorite neither, I like God Hates Us All a lot, Christ Illusion rules too. The old stuff is cool, Seasons In The Abyss & RIB are both great.

Wow, I'm surprised. I'm not a big fan of their recent stuff, and Christ Illusion is very amelodic. It kinda sounds like a continuation of GHUA. But Slayer have never really been known to be the most musically diverse of thrash's Big Four.

I guess you have a point. But I rarely listen to any post-80's Slayer. I listen mostly to stuff from Show No Mercy to Seasons In The Abyss. Anything after that doesn't make it to my CD player very often.
