best, worst things of the day?

basically ollie (the violin player from turisas) has this little thing where at every gig he has a rants against guitar players, basically f**k the guitar solos, yay violins! and he always quotes herman li in his rant, so it would be funny having a guitar vs violin battle on stage... although clearly they'd both lose, it's all about the keytars!!!

Logistics, budget, promoters and label. Australia has like, what, 3 main cities for concerts? Sydney, Melbourne and Perth? They could maybe hop on over to Auckland to add another date. But unless it's a certainty that the crowd will be huge, unfortunately, the label might not accept it. It's pretty shitty, I know.

I was told of the story of Necrophagist, with the label telling Muhammad that it was useless to tour the US cos they wouldn't draw enough people. He still went for it and it went great. Hopefully, if Firewind sales in Australia will go up, that's surely gonna be an extra thing to help them convince the label to get them there. Until then... Best way is to harass your local promoter. Any band wants to play all over, and Firewind is no exception. If you ask them if they want to go to Australia, they'll SURELY reply enthusiastically.

But their power can only get them so far. Like I said, best way is to harass your local promoter into getting them there. And make everyone buy Firewind cds. Then the label and the promoters won't be able to refuse ;)

1) Perth is our most remote 'city' :lol: Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane are the biggest, and Melbourne has the biggest Greek population oustide Athens, so i thought that would help.

2) You cannot buy Firewind CD's here. Well, not easily anyway.
 
Yeah I know that Perth is the "remote" city. But I've seen a lot of shows going there (Cannibal Corpse, Australia Gigantour, etc). I don't remember Brisbane having the dates, but they maybe did. It would make sense to go to Brisbane too, cos the whole NE of Australia maybe can't come all the way down to Sydney and such.

Can't buy CDs? Then harass your local promoter :p
 
I woke up this morning with one of my eyelashes bent over and sticking into my eye.

It was a fantastic start to the day. Although it did motivate me to get out of bed. Unfortunately it did so at 7am, a good four hours before I needed to.
 
guess i'm lucky it's never happened to me. if a eyelash ever gets in my eye, it's because it fell out, not because it got too long and needed to be plucked,
