Big Chocolate.

I like big C but it is a clear fact that the sneap forum really hates music that is not polished melodic death metal and the odd melodic hardcore band. Disagree all you like but it is the truth.

I personally am a big Big Chocolate fan since he got me into Devourment which got me into brutal death metal in general (I read in an interview somewhere they were an influence on him)

to the original question theres no way its logic amp sims unless he is some sort of insane guitar tone acquiring god..

i dont like his vocals, but sometimes it suits the music, burning the masses i dont think it suits AT ALL.

but it suits this and i think this is pretty cool for what it is.

You base this on us not digging sloppy as fuck midi drum tracks on some other DM bands thing and us not digging these guys completely unintelligible, monotonous vocals? Get over it - your perception of 'truth' is completely skewed if you honestly believe what you said.

That second video hammers home my point. God.Fucking.Awful. Completely monotonous and boring, zero inflections, completely unintelligible, might as well be unrehearsed or written. Not seeing how that adds anything to the song its over besides letting the band say that they have a vocalist.

He's just holding it on the extra part around the capsule but not getting in the way of the opening on top.
=cupping
The "extra part" as you put it is what determine its directivity of the mic and obstructing it will alter the tone obviously.
Not trying to bash. The guy seem happy doing his breebruu stuff. So be it.

About that video...
The song was written and recorded in about 3-4 hours. o_O
So I'm sure there was no real effort put into the songwriting or the mix.
Here's the "Making Of..." video and they're goofing off the whole time and just having fun.

I don't see how people don't like Big C's vocals. They're brutal as fuck.

My bad, I didn't realise it wasn't a fully fledged song.

I do think Big C's vocals are thick and brutal, but the problem is that I just don't understand vocals where you honestly can't make out anything they say. That, and it's so very monotonous, usually vocals add a lot to a song and make it a lot more interesting. A simple "brooooo", while it does sound brutal, doesn't really add anything interesting to a song.

No I get my oppinion from lurking on this board for over a year. If its not polished to hell and back then it's not accepted by the people on this forum.

When he was younger he did highs and this "chirp" kind of sound.
I don't know why he doesn't use those two techniques as much, but I bet he's trying to get the sound he's made for himself down pat.

Check out Burning the Masses new CD. I'm sure there's a lot of things he did on that record apart from his usual guttural.

It's called brutal death metal. You obviously don't like it, which is fine. But trying to impose your musical taste on every death metal post is pointless and trollish.

That wasn't the point I was contesting, but seriously - what did you expect? This is the Andy Sneap forum, not the Kurt Ballou forum.

I like tons of deathmetal - good deathmetal. This shit is just boring and uninspired. I take it the 'brutal' prefix should've cued me into that fact, though.

Actually brutal death metal is a really ambiguous term..The problem with vocalists in the "brutal" death metal genre is that they think they have to be "brutal" and stuff like that.. I should know I used to play in a band that the vocalist thought that
Is not bad its just a vocal style that suits some guys..

I don't get why you need 2 guys for this, they sound exactly the same.

not the kind of vocals I like (breeebreeebruuuuubrooooo). It has to be great to be in a band/project were you don't need to write
a)music
&
b)lyrics

guess that guys do it good though, dunno how difficult that vocal style is, I never tried it.

Personally I think that cupping the mic is one of the most less br00tal things you can do. It works live if you're not able to deliver any kind of good vocals, but it sounds aweful when recorded.
+ it's weak, contrary to "Ripper", who is awesome. :D

Am I the only one who does not understand the appeal of his vocals? I seriously doubt there are any actual lyrics, not sure what's desirable about having that kind of style over your music.

haha...dude....please....after listening to the unadulterated gayness of what you consider good music, how would ANYONE expect you to understand the appeal here (this is a 'metal' forum btw is it not?). Other than trolling as already stated, why would anyone choose to comment on something unappealing? "ooh, like is anyone as cool as me and think this like totally sucks?"
