Bigelf should be more famous.

I have those songs burned on to a cdr i made called "Relish" (kindly named and illustrated by my girlfriend) with a bunch of other random classic/prog/etc rock that Doomschifer and others tossed at us a while ago (Irish Coffee, Birth Control, Dust, etc)

it's good stuff :kickass:

edit: retro-relevant question. i LOVE Witchcraft's s/t and Firewood, as well as Pentegram's Day of Reckoning.... so would i be safe to assume that Burning Saviours is on the same level of quality?

pretty cool, although i'm not digging on the vocals much. i definitely agree with tully though, it's bands like this that are bringing back the rock, not that other bullshit. the only one getting any deserved airplay is queens of the stone age. :kickass:

and dudes yeah, obviously a big psychadelic influence. :tickled: i mean, "I'M THE MAAAAAD HATTER"?!?? duh.

shut up, i haven't heard the song for like 6 months dude
:zombie: uhhh no that's the wrong one. :loco: ? nah. :hotjump: whatever, good enough.

anyone who likes this stuff needs to check out the metal side of stoner, like solace, house of aquarius, and maybe even acid king.

actually, for all the doooooooooooooom types around that haven't checked out acid king, well let's just say you're being quite silly. :D

from their very own site:

Flaunting a style that is unparalleled, Bigelf have forged a sound all their own: heavy pop rife with epic guitars, maniacal keyboards and rich, sophisticated harmonies laid over a foundation of hallucinatory hard rock. Working within their carefully constructed pop framework, they have injected a diabolical sound quality with quasi-psychedelic overtones, where demonic timbres are mingled with explosive experimental passages. Bigelf is a cutting edge, musical experience unlike anything else out there today.

unida - for the working man
thee plague of gentlemen - primula pestis (RIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFS!)

Yea well Witchcraft are not in the same level of quality with fuckin PENTAGRAM, and neither are Burning Saviours. However, you will still love Burning Saviours, because they are a heavier and folkier version of Witchcraft (not better, but still GREAT)

They can say that they have "quasi psychedelic overtones", but they dont. Really.
Anyway their music sounds too pure to my ears, to consider every part of it a "put on". Its all about inspiration and soul, and Bigelf have em both.
