In my opinion, I don't see why these bands are so big.

*KORN-what the hell is this, (a breakfast cereal or vegetable).
*DROWNING POOL*DISTURBED*ADEMA-they all sound the same to me and aren't original.
*CREED*NICKELBACK*PUDDLE OF MUDD*DEFAULT-all these could be the same damn band. Watered down "pop" (poop).
*LIMP BIZKIT*PAPA ROACH*LINKIN PARK-again, the same damn band. "Rap/rock" what a concept. I"m glad Anthrax/Public Enemy didnt use "scratching" or Aerosmith/Run D.M.C. (SARCASM FOLKS)
*HOOBASTANK-Whoseamawatchamacallit (What the Hell).
*BLINK 182*SUM 41*SR-47*PRESSURE 4-5 -I GUESS IN ORDER TO A GET A RECORD CONTRACT YOU HAVE TO HAVE NUMBERS IN YOUR BAND'S NAME.
*THE STROKES*THE WHITE STRIPES*JIMMY EATS WORLD-What in the hell is this shit.

*DISCLAMIER-IF ANYONE LIKE ANY OF THESE BANDS, I'M SORRY IF I'VE OFFENDED YOU. But in the words of the infamous Mike Muir(Suicidal Tendencies/Infectious Grooves)"BUT MAYBE YOU NEEDED TO BE OFFENDED. But in my opinion, I don't like them.

Bands like the above are popular because their songs do the same thing pop songs do. They hook you with a catchy melody that becomes really boring after a short while. Most people who buy the album don't realize how uninspired these songs are until after they have shelled out the money for the record.

One of the reasons metal isn't more popular in its thrash/power/prog form (basically "non-nu") is because its harder to digest in one listen. Thats how songs are marketed and sold in the pop world, to get you hooked on one listen so you go to the store and buy it before you realize how stale it is. And then the record companies move on to the next band and do it all over again.

HAHAHAHA

TEH EARLY blink 182, is quite good...

Yeah, and I am the same JACKASS, that think LINKIN PARKS, NEWIE THE 5MILLION SELLER...is the best cd out fo r2001.

I agree with everything, except on the Disturbed point. I don't think disturbed sounds anything like adema (watered-down korn wannabes) And definitely not like fucking Drowning Pool, jesus.
Disturbed is one of the very few nu-metal bands i do like precisely for the fact that they're origional. They're sound is extremely identifiable and not just 'cause of David's voice but the writing too. Everything else i agree with though.
